The Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) in Ontario is an adjudicative tribunal responsible for resolving disputes between Landlords and Tenants, operating under the authority of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (RTA). The LTB forms part of the adjudicative tribunal cluster as outlined in regulations under the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009. Furthermore, the Statutory Powers Procedure Act, R.S.O. 1990 establishes the general procedural framework for hearings conducted by administrative tribunals in Ontario, including the LTB.
